Ken Vrana, the CEO of 1in8 has been a professional fundraiser and event consultant for 25 years and decided to combine that with his lifelong involvement in motors ports to try and help people in need. Our goal is to maintain our position as the fastest growing motor sports charity in the world, produce at least one, 1 in 8 event in every state in the United States and at least 10 countries overseas and ultimately to raise 2 million dollars in 2008-2009
The 1 in 8 Motorsports Series Against Breast Cancer is considered the hottest motor sports charitry in the US. Up until recently, breast cancer affected one out of every eight women in this country but sadly, a few months ago, that number rose to 1 in 7. Our mission is not to find a cure for the disease but to focus on early detection, because as a cancer survivor myself, whose lost countless friends and a sister to cancer, I can tell you that cancer - diagnosed early enough - is survivable. Breast cancer the number is 91% In fact our moto is:
"NO VICTIMS - JUST SURVIVORS."

This is our new car (the Athena GTP built by RTR Exotics) being built for the 2010 National NHRA Tour. at the end of the season we will turn it over to Ken Vrana and the 1in8motorsports.org to auction off at the 2011 Barret Jackson Auction in Scottsdale AZ. 100% of the proceeds will go to Breast Cancer Awareness.
